CUBISM
CUBSIM Cubism is an art movement that originated in France as a group of artists who broke with the tradition of painting realistic, detailed images and instead strove for a representation of reality that was seen only by the mind's eye. The movement began in Paris when Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque began using Cézanne's techniques of distorted perspective to create something new. The style continued through the 1920s until the final movements of Cubism ended in Paris. Pablo Picasso Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, collagist and sculptor who spent most of his life in France. In 1960, Picasso painted 'Women of Algiers' with American artist Alberto Giacometti. He died in 1973 and his works have since been recognized as some of the most recognizable in art history.
